We Love Our City

We love our city and are currently remodeling 75% of our building to better love, serve, and reach our city all throughout the week. During our remodel, we’re relocating to Heights Murray Elementary from June 4th – July 23rd. We’d love to have you join us Sundays at 10am! Whether you’re a first-time guest or a regular at Restored, check out the video below for a walk-through of what to expect during our time at Heights-Murray.

Our City Impact Vision

We are an urban church that began in 2012 with a passion for loving, serving, and reaching those who are at-risk and in need in Wilkes Barre. We are strategically located in the poorest neighborhood in our city and we love the proximity and accessibility that provides for us to make the gospel and community accessible to thousands of people within walking distance of our building as we make a tangible impact in their lives.

We believe that “Facilities facilitate opportunities to impact people”. We don’t want to have a church building that is filled and functioning only on Sundays, but then sits largely empty & dormant Monday-Saturday. We want our city to know that we’ve designed and leveraged our building as an asset and resource for city impact all throughout the week.

We’ve approached this remodel asking, “How can we best use the maximum amount of space to impact the maximum amount of people?” Rather than designing primarily for Sunday ministry use, we’ve designed it with the goal of leveraging our building to be an asset & resource to serve our city Monday-Saturday, then house our church’s ministry on Sunday. If you want to learn more about our City Impact vision & strategy, check out the video & proposal below.
